Night Vignettes: A Recital of Song Cycles will transport you to an enigmatic musical world of nocturnal fantasy, liminality, and chimera. After 15 years of friendship, soprano Kira Neary and pianist Ellen Sirower present their debut concert series in their hometown of New York City. Reception to follow!
Kira will be participating in the New Work Reading at Maryland Opera Studio, singing the role of Sara Turing in a scene from Justine F. Chen’s opera The Life and Death(s) of Alan Turing.
I am so excited to present my Senior Honors Recital in less than a week! I am so thrilled to share this program, which is the product of four years of work at Northwestern University. Along with some fabulous collaborators, I will be presenting works spanning ten centuries by Samuel Barber, Hildegard von Bingen, Kassia, the Comtessa de Día, Benjamin Britten, and Kaija Saariaho.
